Already a fan favorite, 'Love' will eventually go on to be the highest charting and best selling single of Cole's debut album, "The Way It Is." Geffen seems to be grasping the concept of how to sell to the R&B market. After having its highest debut in sales just 2 weeks ago and a #1 single, the company is dotting all the I's and crossing the T's for Q1 in 2006, which in fact is a wise choice. Because, in order to follow the trend that has been pushing forth lately, the company really needs to keep up in the rat race. A fresh voice was needed and Cole has fit the mold. To be honest, though Keyshia's voice does not have the unique soul that fellow labelmate Blige possesses, save for their tempestuous vocal styling, she does have a better use of melisma (the part where she cries out, Love). Maybe it is time for the Queen to move over to for the real princess of Hip-Hop & R&B.
