Positioning itself to be the biggest hit of Mary J.'s career, 'Be Without You' follows the exact same formula that 'We Belong Together' did months prior. Naturally, it was Blige who with Diddy added the term Hip-Hop/Soul to today's lexicon. With the hashing of that hard beat and smooth vocal delivery, the singer is actually making 2006 a very nice beginning for R&B. After selling 727k in her first week, who the hell knows what kind of breakthrough this song will have as it sits atop the charts.
