A year has passed, and Carey is still releasing singles from the now 3x Grammy Award® winning Emancipation of Mimi. After having success with two #1 singles and one Pop/CHR #2, Def Jam is releasing the single that was supposed to be the star’s foray back to the world. Unlike anything that we hear on the radio, “Say Something” will have enough momentum to carry the album well into the summer. With that said, it won’t be until “Stay the Night” is released that Carey will have another #1 hit.

On the other hand, “Fly like a Bird” is classic Mariah. With an outstanding performance at this year’s Grammy’s, the star has garnered back the crown that was once tarnished. Though there may be a slight chance that this song will go nowhere on the Hot 100, it will inevitably set the pace for future releases.
