Back in 2000, thirteen year-old Sammie, signed to Dallas Austin's Rowdy label was likely to become a teen phenomenon. With hits, 'I Like It' and 'Crazy Little Thing' helping propel the album to go gold, it would only be a matter of time before teenyboppers would be screaming his name. Sadly, at the cusp of his career, he disappeared from the music scene to finish up high school. Now returning six years later with a sound quite like competition, Mario, Sammie releases 'You Should Be My Girl,' a single that lacks that important sound that radio listeners are enticed to listen to. Add that to the fact that Sean Paul (of the YoungBloodZ) is rapping and you have a single that will pass through the summer with no fanfare and only hope for the second release.
