So it's not exactly what we may have hoped for, but it's far better than what we could've expected. Though generic, "Call On Me" is sure to follow in the memories to other past slow jams (Dilemma, We Belong Together...) and will go on to become the biggest hit of her career since "All For You." With the Nipplegate incident and her alter ego Damita Jo behind her, hopefully Janet can get back to having the hits that she deserves. At 40 years old, playing back and forth on a single featuring Nelly is quite an accomplishment in keeping up with today's trends. Here's to entering the race with something unexpected and slick at the same time...you may have just earned yourself a #1 single if not a top 10.

Do ou critique the fact that will be a in the Top 10 on Billboard or do you critique the actual song ????
Janet hasn't sang since Rhythm Nation she just whispers with music in the background. And as far as Smelly and is vocal ability two thumbs way way down dude. Have ou heard the song ? Music is officially dead when we have Nelly doing duets with Janet Jackson.
I critique the "hit potential" of the song.
MAN!...I agree!...Janet hasnt sung since the 80's when she was with her original producers...they are the ones that pushed her to dance...b/c it was clearly she wasnt a natural like her brother but it paied off big time!..I think JD needs to leave her music alone!...that song is so airy u would thank the ying yang twins would sue her for copyright material...but I hope we really get the old Janet back..the one who danced her heart out and sung not whisper...and not have over produced songs...as of today..sometimes JD dosent know what he is doing just like the last album he screwed her over with!..I was very upset when I heard this song...but I think it will grow..but plz let this be like a teaser and her 2nd video is going to be crazY!...but what about the duet with mariah carey...what is JD thinking..,.thats like j-lo singing with Beyonce'..that is going to be something my mouth will drop 2 just like when I heard this song...call on me...4 what Janet!..man...today industry is really bothering..ya dig!Im glad Beyonce is out! shes original and shes a true supestar that will be around 4 a long time!...
