Point blank, America does not deserve John Mayer. No matter how good the music is, it seems like we keep him one step away from having the #1 hit he deserves.

With that said, "Waiting" is the only commercial song of '06 that has any oomph to it. Not only is the production and lyrical content stratospheres away from anything released in the last 10 months, but it’s the most carefree and truthful. Mix in the breakdown and even the sanest person will go crazy with excitement. Sadly, what makes this even worse is that Mayer stays calm throughout the entire 3:21 time frame of the song...wow, I can only smile.
